Do you ever feel like you have too many friends? At a certain point in everyone’s life, they become slightly introverted. We’re not in high school anymore vying for popularity and social status, we’re adults and quite frankly, can’t stand 99% of the people around us. It’s about time that we accept our anti-socialness and embrace introversion, taking this valuable mantra into 2025 at face value: No new friends. 

It seems like once I hit my mid-twenties, I was tired of introducing myself to new people. Sure, it’s still nice to hang out with my old friends and catch up, but it’s physically and emotionally taxing. Meeting up with friends-of-friends or legit strangers, trying to explain my career, my hobbies, and my entire persona in an elevator pitch to seem friendly is truly exhausting. As a result, my inner circle has shrunk down to a more manageable size, including only a few close friends, my husband, and my dog.
