Things get so easily lost in the pantry. At least in my pantry. I have potato starch knocking around in that’s been there since people had Blackberries. I can’t help it. It’s not like it goes bad… but it’s probably not as fresh as it once was. We all have a few proverbial skeletons in our closet like this. Stuff that you swore you’d get rid of but just got pushed to the back of the pantry so your children will have to find it when you finally pass of old age decades from now.
Maybe it’s some hot chocolate mix that someone put in your Christmas stocking ages ago that you never got around to using. Maybe it’s that self-rising flour you bought for a recipe back in the 80s that you’ve never found another use for. Maybe it’s one of your baby teeth rattling around in a ramekin because somehow you thought that was a good idea to keep around.
