There are some things you just can’t say, even to your closest friends. Anyone who has hated their best friend’s boyfriend knows this feeling of biting their tongue and hiding their true feelings until the couple breaks up. If the couple gets married and stays together forever, they are sworn to secrecy until either they or their best friend leaves this firmament for the other side. It can feel rotten to keep that secret for years, but the alternative of being brutally honest about the love of their life could mean that the friendship is done for, and most of us aren’t willing to sacrifice that. 

Another huge taboo is telling your friends and loved ones that you hate their baby’s name. We live in an age when people name their kids all sorts of absurd things, but that doesn’t mean it’s okay to mock the name their child will have for the rest of their lives.
