A commonly expressed sentiment on the internet is that despite being a living being, cats are actually liquid. Most of the time, the reasoning for this is something along the lines of how flexible and agile they are and the way they make themselves fit into the most unlikely and uncomfortable of spaces that most other similarly sized mammals wouldn’t dream of going near.

I would argue that this theory can be taken on an abstract level as well as a physical one; cats are also liquid in the sense that somehow, they have managed to seep into every crack of internet culture and transform it into a means of feline worship via cat memes. It is just too easy to find them funny, and the entertainment that they provide in real life translates online without a hitch. This is an internet of cat lovers, and we are not going to complain about it.
