Every office is different. One of my best friends was pretty devastated recently after her office Wi-Fi blocked Reddit. As someone in my line of work, I cannot imagine being in such a tyrannical office that wouldn’t allow you to scroll through r/memes for at least an hour a day. JK, I do that for 2 hours a day! Most employees have to look productive at all times, even if they only have a couple of hours worth of work to do over an 8 hour workday. That means that it’s generally looked down upon to screw around on the clock; no Netflix, no Twitter, and no lists of 30 hilarious memes. 

If you’re expected to maintain professionalism in the office, these hilarious memes might have to wait until you’ve clocked out for the day. That, or until you take a suspiciously long bathroom break that is a perfect replacement for a proper lunch hour.
