‘I want my privacy’: Daughter refuses to sleep on Airbnb couch with her boyfriend during 6-night family vacation, parents accuse her of ruining the trip if she books another place to stay

When your family is planning a once-in-a-blue-moon family vacation, you’d hope that they’d get their head count correct—nobody wants to share a room with their little brother or distant uncle twice removed. Once someone who’s attending has to opt for the pullout couch instead of having their own private quarters, don’t expect them to attend still. After all, sleeping on the living room couch, not only by yourself, but with a boyfriend, means you have to sacrifice your own privacy while everyone else gets sleep without worrying about being woken up at the crack of dawn because somebody was craving ice cream at 5 AM.
