Tough times fall on all of us at some point in our lives. We can only hope that the folks around us, close or not, will be there to pick us up when we feel like we’ve no ground to stand on. Even in our darkest moments, we must actively look for the light at the end of the tunnel, despite what the world might be throwing our way. It’s important, however, to be hyperaware of acts of kindness to be grateful for, and not to let our bitterness toward our unfortunate circumstances infect every good deed that is thrown our way.
