‘I don’t want Rue or her boyfriend anywhere near my business’: Small self-care business owner, Luna, puts her foot down once she finds out her best friend, Rue, is stealing her handmade “metaphysical” products every time they hang out

Luna describes her business as «a metaphysical & self-care business» so it’s only natural that when her best friend, Rue, starts making running the self-care business like a game of hide-and-seek with her own products, she would practice said self-care and set some boundaries to defend her product as well as her «metaphysical» well-being.

Luna puts heart and soul into handmade soaps and rituals, only to find her products walking out the door during coffee breaks and moving day blues. Rue treats the place like a grab bag, and her boyfriend plays part-time mystic, collecting spiritual tools without ever reaching for his wallet.

It hits harder when friendship stretches back years, all the history scrunched up by a few stolen candles and some shady Instagram stories. Helping move boxes turns into a shopping spree, and every visit from Rue means taking inventory just to stay ahead of another missing bracelet. The words business and boundaries start to sound the same after this much chaos. It turns out hosting friends costs more than materials, sometimes dignity gets thrown in for free.
