Maybe humans and animals are more alike than we think!

Sometimes we think that animals are so different from us. And in some ways it’s true. We are a more evolved society that learns how to do a lot of things that animals can’t even imagine exist. We have writing and reading as a part of our abilities. We created machines and medicine. We are capable of much more than most animals, and we even learned how to study them. We are different, very, but not in every single way.

We tend to think that just because we are capable of more, then it means that animals are less than us. They aren’t. They have their whole bunch of other capabilities that define them. The truth is that, in the end, we are more similar to each other than we even think. And one of those ways is with family. Animals have mothers, fathers, siblings, even cousins. They may not give that much attention to the function that each member plays in a family. But that doesn’t mean that they don’t care about them. They see their mothers as role models as much as we do, copying and learning as we did when we were babies. 

Animals, especially baby animals, tend to mimic and learn from their parents, just as we do! They copy them and go to them for advice. They know that they won’t learn things if their mother doesn’t teach them. And it’s extremely cute when we get to see them doing exactly that. Learning from their mother and copying them. That’s why I find it cute that baby animals copy their mothers so we can see that we aren’t as different from them as we may believe. We all learn from mom how to behave, and we do copy our role models as well.
