At first, she assumed it was a distant cousin’s spontaneous plus-one (the kind of relative who treats RSVP numbers as gentle suggestions). But no, her parents didn’t recognize her either. The mystery woman wasn’t a wedding crasher in the «Wedding Crashers» sense; she wasn’t chugging champagne or yelling «Ma! The meatloaf!» She was simply… there.
