Is it fair to reprimand someone for being 1 minute late?

We all deserve a little grace in our lives. We are all human, and we all make mistakes, and sometimes that means showing up late to something. It’s not an uncommon thing. We all have that friend who we can’t count on to be on time for all the tea in China. They just don’t know how to do it. You tell them that something starts an hour earlier just in the hopes that they will arrive on time, but they find a way to be late no matter what. It’s frustrating to put up with, but you learn how to live with it. Because after all, you’re sometimes late too. Nobody is perfect, and sometimes trains are late, and traffic is crazy. We can’t all be on time all the time, because the world doesn’t work that way. So when something comes along that makes us a little tardy for the party, we deserve understanding and acceptance.
