Does she want some family assistance or full-time live-in help?
It’s not wrong to want a little help from your friends and family, especially after having a baby. After all, «it takes a village.» You want the people who love you to be able to chip in, and they probably want to as well. We all need reasons to feel useful and needed, and it’s nice to help someone out. Plus, you might want to form bonds with the children in your life, and taking care of them is an easy way to do that. But enlisting someone’s help shouldn’t mean constantly relying on it, or taking away from their lives while doing so. You don’t get to be the ultimate control freak when someone else is helping you out. You have to be able to let a few things go, which is easier said than done. The mom in this story couldn’t quite do it.
