Dating etiquette can sometimes get complicated, but the basics are very simple.

Unless your date has done something to deserve otherwise, it is basic common sense that you try to be engaging, respectful, and on time. While there may be circumstances where one of those things is a struggle, all you can do is apologize and try to rectify that behavior in the future. If it means that things don’t work out, that is just the way of the wild west of dating.

While everybody has different likes and dislikes when it comes to picking a partner, one thing that is pretty much the same with all people is that they want to be treated with common courtesy. If you aren’t capable of that, then you shouldn’t be surprised if you get ghosted on a regular basis. 

It seems like it is a common problem, as many people have dating horror stories that amount to the other person not showing up in the way that they should. When somebody sends the signal that they are not that interested, it is only fair that their date reacts to that appropriately. It is not really justified to get upset about it.
