5’11 Concertgoer Refuses to Move So Short Female Concertgoers Can See The Band After They Complained About Tall People Blocking The View

Should he have moved out of the way so they could see?

Is it worse to be too tall or too short? Your answer might depend a lot on your gender and the country you live in. In some countries, everybody is extremely short, so there’s no need to seethe about 6-foot-tall guys getting all of the girls. If you’re a woman in a country where men are taller, you might resent your height if you’re over 6 feet tall and struggle to date because of it.

There’s always something to complain about if you look for it. I’m a tall woman, and I am addicted to complaining about people reclining their seats on airplanes. If the person in front of me does that, it makes my flight so uncomfortable. I’m radical enough to say that I think that putting your seat back on an airplane is morally wrong, though I think most short people would strongly disagree with me. If I were a short woman, I would find other things to complain about, like not being able to reach high shelves.

One of the worst things about being short is not being able to see the stage at concerts. At a seated venue, it’s much easier to ensure you have a seat where you can see everything, if you’re willing to pay for one. For concerts, you’re at the mercy of everyone around you, and sometimes you have to get to the venue hours in advance if you want to secure a spot near the front.

The taller-than-average guy in this story refused to move out of the way for the short woman behind him at the concert, and the internet is divided over whether that makes him a bad guy.
