Everyone who has reached home without part of an order knows the frustration. Well, that’s why every couple develops an unofficial division of labor. The husband drives, and the wife has to check that the drive-thru actually included the fries and that there is no missing part of the order. These small responsibilities don’t require formal job descriptions, but repeated incidents can apparently lead to an internal restructuring.
This marriage turns an ordinary annoyance into workplace humor. Their quality-control system has failed to catch missing fries, sauces, drinks, and even an entire meal. After another incorrect order, the husband informed his wife that she was removed from her position as the Official Bag Checker and reassigned as a Quality Assurance Consultant. She responded by refusing to speak to HR, a department represented by her husband.
The story could have ended with a corporate scandal, but his wife was given a second opportunity and reinstated under a Performance Improvement Plan. This time, the new process required her to check the bag and confirm every sandwich resembled what they ordered. After spending 20 seconds inspecting the order, she finally approved it… Only for the husband to find out that his snack wrap was missing.
The best kind of relationships are the ones that can mock each other and laugh about everyday inconveniences. Healthy relationships are not defined by never becoming irritated, but they know which problems deserve a serious conversation and which can become a joke both of them enjoy!
