A truly startling amount of stuff, both good and bad, would not have happened unless there were people willing to BS their way into situations where they may not have been totally comfortable or qualified. All it takes is for one risk to pay off, and not only do you boost your confidence, but you also make yourself look cool to other people. You’ve got to put yourself out there.

Of course, finding the will to do that is never going to be simple for some of us. Anyone who has ever lacked confidence knows that it is all too easy to spend too much time questioning and not a lot of time doing. In this case, the reminder you need is simple: almost everybody is making it up as they go along, and you can be that kind of individual too.

Honestly, the internet is the perfect place to turn to find proof of that to bolster your confidence. People really do come on here and just do whatever, even when that isn’t necessarily a good idea, in the hopes that they may receive a modicum of clout in the process. Memes can very much be part of an aura farming campaign, in the sense that they get shared for attention, but we don’t even have to do that. We can simply let them wash over us and have the aura sink in naturally.
