Guys, I did it…I checked the pictures from last year when I had just started at the gym, and my body is pretty much the same. I’m officially a clown…
I tell myself this is because I’ve changed my body composition, and now I look the same, but I’m mostly muscle and not fat, right? That must absolutely be the case. I mean, otherwise, how on earth would I be lifting as heavy as I am? Ok it’s not that heavy, but it’s definitely like 10 times heavier than what I started with.
You know what? I only want to be strong, happy, and healthy, and I think that should be everybody’s goal in the end. Of course, bodies can change, and if you really want it and put a lot of effort into it, they can change way faster than mine, but hey! I’m enjoying the ride, guys.
Back when I started, I knew I wanted to, but I’d never picked up a habit for so long. I thought I was going to drop it, and then I found myself going to the gym no matter if it rained or poured, and that in itself made me happy- that discipline I managed to build from scratch.
It’s a very rewarding feeling, and I have to say, some days when my mood was very off, just going to the gym and moving my body completely changed my state, so if you never tried it or are doubting getting a membership, I’d suggest you go for it as soon as possible!
And for the ones who are already lifting but are beginners, or long-time goers who still look crazy mid, here are some gym memes for you!
