Is there literally anything in this house that constitutes the label «in shambles»?

One of the hardest things about living with other people is agreeing on a standard level of cleanliness. Everyone grew up in a different environment where «clean» meant something different. For some people, «clean» means that there is no literal trash on the ground, and all of the crumbs on the floor are perfectly fine to stay, because they’re smaller than an empty Mountain Dew bottle. For others, a single pillow out of place is so upsetting and distracting that they need to fluff and rearrange the pillows on the couch every time someone uses it. Most of us are somewhere in the middle, but know people who have lived in the lands of these extremes. 

If you had to choose between living with a slob or a clean freak, you’d probably choose a clean freak. I know I would rather live in a clean house all the time than a filthy one, but living with a clean freak can have its own disadvantages. They might be controlling how much you clean, getting angry if you don’t spend every second of your free time contributing to the beautification of the house. They might get unreasonably upset by a normal amount of clutter, which can make you feel like you can’t even use your home without upsetting the other person who lives there. When you treat your home like a museum, it’s harder to just relax and enjoy it if you’re a normal person who wants your house to be clean but isn’t obsessed with cleaning. 

The husband in this story has gotten used to his wife’s borderline delusional thinking. They have an incredibly clean home all the time, thanks to her. It looks like a house that prospective buyers could tour at a moment’s notice. But she thinks that the house is «in shambles,» even when there are no visible flaws. Would you be able to live with a person like that?
