What are you going to do with your long weekend?

Perhaps where you live, you’re about to experience a long weekend. You have Monday off, and you’re gearing up for a fun day. Maybe you’re going out of town, or attending a barbecue… or maybe you’re just grateful to finally have a day off. Days off are hard to come by nowadays. So when you get one, especially on a Monday, you better cherish it. Mondays are no fun, classically. Mondays are the days when we have to scrape ourselves together to get something going. It’s the start of a long week, and you’re only making a dent in it. When you have a Monday off, it’s like a cheat code. You start the week a little bit ahead, and you get to the weekend a little bit faster. 

Labor Day is all about the winding down of summer. It’s September, and the last breaths of the hot months are escaping through our fingertips. Now is the time to do a little bit of reflecting. Maybe you’re looking back through photos from the summer and remembering all the fun things you did. Maybe you’re looking at your bank account and realizing you might have had a little too much fun. Maybe you are thinking about all the things you’re going to do in the fall. Maybe you’re looking at your jackets and getting excited about finally being able to wear them.
