Underwater humor for the ocean-obsessed people: 15 facts and 5 memes so we can learn and laugh

Ocean facts? Here we come.

I have to be honest, I don’t know much about the ocean. I feel like we are always afraid to admit when we don’t know about something. Sometimes, people tell me that I look smart, and I do think that I’m smart, but there are different kinds of intelligence. Some may mistake intelligence with know it all, and they are actually quite different. On one hand, being smart means that your brain functions correctly and you are able to think. It can be applied in several areas. On the other hand, you have the term ‘know-it-all’, which is someone who knows a lot about some topic, facts, data, curiosities, and they can talk for hours about that. It doesn’t necessarily mean they know about everything. They just know their area.

I think that all of us have areas in which we are experts, or at least we seem like it. In my case, it’s literature. I know a lot about books, authors, genres, and resources. But then if you assume that I know everything, then you may think that I know about, for example, the ocean. And I don’t. There is no real correlation between the two subjects, but you get my point. The fact that I know something, or a lot, about one topic or area doesn’t mean that I’m an expert on everything else. It just means that I like that specific area that I study, AND THAT’S IT!

I always loved being a know-it-all kind of person. That’s why I’m always looking for new things to learn and people to pass on my knowledge. I found out that one easy and fun way to learn about a topic is to look for fun facts about it. That’s why I gathered a bunch of great data below, explained simply so we can all learn more about the ocean. I also included a couple of memes so that we can learn and laugh at the same time. After all, learning can be fun as well.
