Yes, we’re feeling lazy, we don’t want to do anything anymore, and the weekend is taking its sweet time to arrive.
People always chastise others for being lazy, and they definitely have a point. Heck, I’ve done it myself: I complain about lazy people all the time. But I also have to be honest with all of you: I am lazy too. Every time my alarm clock starts ringing, my first instinct is to throw it out of the window and go back to sleep for a good seven hours more. I can only do that on Sundays, so you can imagine that I’m not a morning person at all. There’s way too much to be done and very little will to do it.
In all fairness, we all need to have at least some time to be lazy and become temporary slackers. There are always too many tasks to complete at work, and too many tasks to complete at home, so it’s natural that we are overworked and don’t want to do anything anymore. So, it’s not that we’re lazy; we just need a few hours (or a few days) to rest away from all our responsibilities.
Rest is as important as doing stuff. Our little heads can only take so much information at a time, and if we don’t provide it with some time to clear and rearrange itself we’re going to end up getting as lost as a ball in high weeds. If we can’t pay enough attention to what’s important for being too overworked, we’re going to end up making a mess of everything. So yes, the moments of laziness and rest are also important and even healthy. We don’t want our bosses to tell us off for doing our Excel spreadsheet all wrong. So let’s take this opportunity to relax and be lazy with these memes.
