Pancakes and waffles can coexist in harmony, but for this meme list, pancakes reign supreme, and always will! Although the famous meme says that liking pancakes doesn’t mean you hate waffles, this meme list is waffle-hater-friendly. 

When I was growing up, my family often made pancakes, either on Saturday morning or as a breakfast-for-dinner main course. My younger sister was really good at making pancakes, and decided to make her own IHOP for the family. Instead of «International House of Pancakes,» she operated «Catie’s House of Pancakes,» and CHOP was born. 

The funniest thing about CHOP was the sizing. You could order pancakes in six different sizes: small, extra small, large, extra large, medium, and extra medium. Naturally, my parents had a field day with the «extra medium» label. My dad would order his pancakes «super extra medium,» and my sister didn’t understand why they found that so funny. For a while, I didn’t either. After all, isn’t extra medium just a size between medium and small? I thought my sister was pretty innovative. After all, no restaurant before CHOP had ever been daring enough to introduce an «extra medium» size, and she continued to offer extra medium pancakes, even when they were mocked. 

Now that I don’t live with my sister and her incredible pancake-making skills, I don’t get to eat as many pancakes as I’d like. Even though I’m not eating pancakes today, scrolling through these pancake memes is better than nothing! Maybe I can even scroll through them at a diner that serves breakfast all day while munching on a stack of flapjacks! After all, I do have free will.
