We’ve been waiting for Halloween all year round, and now it’s almost here! Ready for the spookiest night of all?

Is it just me, or does October feel like the longest month when you’re waiting for Halloween? I have to confess, I’ve been waiting for this time of year since late September. As soon as October 1st hit my calendar, I was already ready for candy, home decor, and costume ideas. I get so excited whenever I see grocery stores stocking up on all that candy… I feel like a child again, and honestly, that’s what Halloween is all about. Feeling like a kid and getting excited about dressing up and eating candy is a nice little break from adult reality, and I very much appreciate it.

That’s why time seems to be slowing down when we’re reaching the spookiest day. But, luckily for us, the day still has 24 hours, so it’s just the excitement in our heads that makes us feel that time isn’t really moving. Needless to say, we’re a week out of Halloween, and the vibes are getting scarier. In fact, I see people trying on costumes, buying some home decorations, and debating whether to give trick-or-treaters candy or prepare a healthy snack. Can you guess my answer? I think it’s pretty obvious. Imagine ringing the doorbell and having the family give you apples and carrot sticks… please, just don’t.
