«Roads? Where we’re going, we don’t need roads.»

We finally got there. A time of AI and flying cars, just like all those Saturday morning animated TV shows promised. The only problem is, are we really sure we still want that? Doesn’t really matter because, whether we want it or not, it’s happening. So, buckle up for this car ride! Or should I say, really buckle up because this car ride might do a flip or jump over some other cars- who knows. 

When you say it out loud, it actually sounds amazing. A flying car that can make you feel like a science fiction superhero, while also avoiding heavy traffic. Waze and Google Maps are going to have to get really creative with that one. We even used to joke that TV writers from the 70s and 80s would be quite disappointed with the fact that we hadn’t gotten there yet, but guess what: Back to the Future can officially change its name to Right Here, Right Now. Although we still have to put a pin in flying skateboards, they’ll come any second now. 

However, just like many other TV shows and movies taught us back in the day, not everything that looks like gold is actually shiny. As I said, flying cars sound amazing, but will they be able to fly above billboard signs and super high buildings? I guess we will find out.
