Even though we’re getting closer to the weekend, the last couple of days before we finally get there can often feel twice as long.
Every workplace has that one person who, for some unknown reason, is always extremely cheerful. It doesn’t matter how bad the traffic was, that it was pouring rain on the way to work, or if the coffee ran out, that person always has a smile on their face when they step through the office doors.
For us normal people, there are two possible ways to react to a coworker like that. Either their cheerful disposition manages to make you feel better, or you cannot stand to look at their face. It usually depends on your mood that day, and whether or not the weekend is near. Knowing that the weekend is just around the corner and that you won’t have to see or talk to any of your coworkers for a few days might make their overly enthusiastic attitude a bit more bearable. Suddenly, their constant chitchat during lunch is tolerable, and you’re even inclined to share your weekend plans with them.
Regardless of how far away the weekend is, most people would take any opportunity to feel better and will try not to hate their coworkers, even the chatty, cheerful ones. If you ask me, some relatable and festive memes could help you get in the right mood, so that you feel inspired by happy coworkers and don’t want to throw them out of the office. A little giggle on your way to the office goes a long way, and before you know it, you will even find yourself being that cheerful coworker who makes everyone else feel better, which is definitely an upgrade.
