A Binding Contract of 30 Memes

Many of us are attracted to memes because they seem like such a noncommittal way to spend our time. A casual scroll here and a few DMs to friends there, and it is a pleasant enough way to waste a few idle minutes in the day. The thing is, when we do this pretty much every day and we have been doing it for years, it actually adds up to a mighty amount of time solely dedicated to the pursuit of viewing, sharing, and perhaps even providing internet humor. It is about time we appreciated the art of memeing for the commitment that it is, and acknowledged that as a matter of fact, it is often quite an integral cornerstone of our lives. Is that kind of sad? Maybe, but of the all the coping mechanisms that people use to make their days a little brighter, this has to be one of the better ones.
