Between the beautiful scenery, plethora of dangerous animals and the funny accents, Australia is a very unique place to visit (and be from). As someone who has partially Australian heritage, I’ve long been a bit wary of letting people know thanks to the more dubious aspects of the place’s history. However, there’s no doubting that there are a load of cool elements to the country as well. As somewhere which is both hard to get to and truly one of a kind, it’s no surprise that there can be a kind of weird mythical thing that surrounds Australia. It is no surprise, then, that people enjoy making memes about it. While not all of these may be super accurate, there’s no doubt that most of them offer up some amusement. Let’s face it, given the sh*tshow that is the US or many other developed countries right now, we may as well enjoy these.
