Most of us will never know what it feels like to be an all-powerful emperor or pharaoh, fanned by our servants and hand-fed grapes by a concubine. That’s probably for the best. Those weren’t the best guys. But what we can experience is the grape feeding, as long as we have a willing participant. You could take turns with your partner after work instead of spending 3 hours trying to pick a movie to watch on Netflix. Sounds like a fun night in. 

Indulgence is all about the little things. Putting half and half in your coffee instead of skim. Eating only the top of the muffin. Doing a cat eye just to go to Target. Wearing your fancy socks to sit on the couch. Put your chocolate chip cookie in the microwave before you eat it. I could go on forever. The lap of luxury is all about how you treat yourself.
