When you have something big planned in a week or two, do you find it easier or harder to work?

On one hand, having something to look forward to can really motivate you to keep going and get through the day. Whether it is a vacation or a holiday coming up, the anticipation alone can lift anyone’s spirit and get people to really put in an effort. 

On the other hand, who wants to work when you have something exciting coming up in just a few days? How can you concentrate on anything when all you can think of is how fun you are going to have during whatever it is you have planned?
