When was the last time you participated in a conga line? I bet it’s been at least a year. At least it has for me. I think we need to correct that oversight ASAP. It seems as though people have lost the earnestness that a conga line requires. Yes, you’re probably going to look silly. Yes, the line will stretch too fast and you might momentarily lose your shoulder partners. But gosh darn it, conga lines are fun. They’re the sign of a truly good party.
A party where the guests aren’t afraid to get a little cozy with each other, in a totally above-board way. Plus, for the dance-shy, it’s a way to participate in the fun without having to bust a move yourself. It’s community at its finest. Making friends is effortless. The whole party becomes your oyster in a matter of a few bars of a good song.
