Y’all mind if I get a little serious in the intro to this meme list? Okay, bet. I’ve been thinking about what it means to be a good Samaritan. In its simplest sense, it means helping others when they’re in need. But people are in need all the time, as the internet constantly shows us. It’s impossible to help everyone, so where do you start and where do you stop? It can make your heart heavy to scroll and see strangers in desperate situations left and right when you have no immediate way to help them. Perhaps investing in one’s close community is the best way to make an impact. Go where you know you’re needed. As they are wont to say, «Think globally, act locally.»
