Being able to cook is a powerful skill.

Knowing our way around the kitchen is something that gets downplayed from time to time, and a lot of this is because it is something that is so necessary, and it is considered a kind of household chore. While it may be true that culinary proficiency is something that any semi-independent person should hope to learn, that doesn’t mean that improving on it isn’t special. We all have to eat, and most of us would rather do it in a way that is as pleasurable as possible.

As soon as you become somebody with chef skills, or are simply close to somebody who is a good cook, you realize just how much people like to know an individual who is a source of delicious food. It appeals to our most primary instincts, and no pharmaceutical innovations can completely take that away. Cooking remains one of the more satisfying things that we can do with our time, as well as being an essential. Not every recipe may turn out like we hope, but that only makes the tasty ones more special. Regardless, they give us the appetite to enjoy the variety that is offered by cooking memes. From those foods that make our mouth water from the very thought of them, to those that may be discreetly scraped into the trash later, they are all worthy of the meme treatment in one form or another.
