There’s nothing like a small group hang with the right people. It’s probably my favorite way to hang of all the ways to hang. My ideal situation is 5-9 of my closest friends all sitting in a circle in someone’s living room. There are drinks, snacks, good music, and some sort of stimulating conversation. But everyone is having one conversation, there are no side conversations. 

Everyone is facing the center, all engaged in something together. You’re building community, giving yourselves the opportunity to riff, and overall having an excellent time. Nobody feels left out, and if you’re feeling like you don’t have much to add, there’s no pressure to contribute. You just get to exist as you are while being entertained by a group of your friends. There are other types of hang that can be equally fulfilling in the right measure, but it’s hard to go wrong with this formula.
