An argument that I have been way too invested in over the years is whether or not memes have a deeper purpose. It’s true that many times, an image that humorously describes how hard it is to get up in the morning isn’t saying much more than that we need more sleep. Still, the wider meaning of what it means that we are all addicted to consuming and sharing dumb things on the internet is something that is worth further investigation. 

However, that’s not what we’re here to do. We want a deluge of dumb memes to cram into our eyeballs, and we want them fast. This is exactly the reason that this list exists, because our fix needs to be as easy and accessible as possible. All this means is that we’re lazy and we want to be distracted, but that doesn’t take away from it being an enjoyable experience.
