Food doesn’t come from the supermarket… Surprise!

I actually spent quite a bit of time on a farm in the Midwest when I was a kid, scooping up sheep and cows you know what, spending nights huddled up in a sleeping bag in an empty barn, and picking apples, pears, and peaches off the trees when they were ripe. Right by the farm, there was a huge forest that was (according to my parents) inhabited by cougars and bears. I was taught from a young age not to wander too far off on my own because of this. Despite the hard work that being on the farm entailed, I really enjoyed my time there and was always sad to drive home. Also, there were two adorable dogs, Raymond and Sally, who I befriended. They would follow me around and would watch me feed the chickens.
