Look, all of us are busy people. Sometimes ‘busy’ constitutes rotting in bed and being distracted from all the other things we should be doing, but we’re not going to talk about that. What does need to be underlined is that we can be frequently pressed for time, and this requires us to have the kind of entertainment that’s quick, easy, and accessible even in a pinch. 

I’m talking about memes, of course, and luckily for all of us, they’re in plentiful supply and ready to give us that low-effort dopamine hit right when we need it. Whether you have all the time in the world or it seems like there’s none to spare, they’re here for the exact same refreshing time frame. That’s great, because it means we can pick them up and put them down whenever we want. At least, that’s what we think in theory. It doesn’t always pan out that way.
