Have you ever gone sailing? 

I have, but just a few times. It is one of the most beautiful experiences and the perfect summer activity! You get on a boat, set sail for the ocean, and simply enjoy the sun and the water splashing on you while the captain steers the ship. It kind of makes you feel like you are in some historical romance novel, like you’re a determined lady crossing the entire ocean to find her missing husband, who went M.I.A while fighting against Napoleon. The wind on your hair and the sun coming up tell you that a new day is here, and that it’s not yet too late to find out what happened to your lover, who one day simply stopped responding to your letters, and the officers never gave you any answers. Yeah, maybe I’m exaggerating, but it’s kind of like that. 

Either way, whether you are a hopeless romantic and find a potential story in everything or not, sailing keeps being a relaxing and fun activity to try at least once in your life. Don’t worry, you don’t need to buy a yacht; you can just rent one! I’m joking, obviously. I don’t think renting a yacht is much cheaper than buying one, but let me know if you try it. Getting a boat is a much simpler option, and just as fun! With a boat, you can imagine that your pirate ship sank, and you and the others in the boat were the only survivors… I should probably stop with the stories. 

The point is that you don’t need to have a yacht or to go on a cruise. Rowing a boat in a nearby lake is just as fun and a beautiful experience, and a lovely idea for a date, in case you were trying to come up with one. Just make sure to take some sunscreen and a parasol with you. When you are in the middle of a lake, there are no trees to protect you from the heat of the sun, and you don’t want to faint in the middle of your date.
