All The Best Twitter Reactions To The Finale Of Bachelor: Listen To Your Heart

Just six weeks ago Bachelor fans were celebrating the series premiere of The Bachelor Presents: Listen To Your Heart, ABC’s attempt at merging the decades-old dating show with an American Idol-style competition. The season was, as one would expect, a whirlwind of drama, gaslighting, and a lot less talent than we would like. While most of the fire starters of the season (Julia, Brandon, and Natascha) were eliminated before the premiere, it wouldn’t be a Chris Harrison show without some serious emotional histrionics.

Fan favorite Rudi was the first to go after her indecisive partner Matt admitted he «couldn’t get there,» referring to the level of commitment that Chris Harrison expected from the couples. Rudi was easily the most talented of the six finalists, and her supporters were eager to lament the loss on Twitter, especially after the doomed couple was assigned a Whitney Houston duet.

Fans were also quick to decry the Trevor and Jamie relationship the producers seemed to be pushing since the beginning. The milquetoast duo butchered the Righteous Brothers classic «Unchained Melody» by giving it a seriously unnecessary country vibe, probably because Jamie isn’t capable of singing it right.

With so much to complain about, the predictable outcome of Bri and Chris’ win received relatively little attention on social media. The slightly boring but very sweet couple made judge Taye Diggs cry, and came out on top, much to the relief of the Jamie and Trevor haters. At the end of the day, we’re just happy to see Bachelor nation embrace a little diversity. Maybe they’ll be more accepting of people who don’t necessarily want to «make babies» as Chris Harrison was aggressively pushing.
