Reviews serve a very specific purpose—to enlighten other consumers about a good or service, which is pretty helpful when you’re trying to make an informed decision. I know that they’re the first thing I look at, especially on Amazon, to try to figure out if A) the reviews are fake and B) if the product is a waste of money. Informative reviews are great, but sometimes it is the least helpful reviews that can be the best ones, like whenever someone uses the review section as their personal confessional, or when someone on the unhinged side reveals more about themselves than the actual product. There are few things as delightful as discovering accidental comedy in unexpected places, and these weird reviews from the depths of Amazon deserve some major internet points.
