When you really think about it, what are memes but adverts of our most banal thoughts? They’re eye-grabbing, simple and they want to make you like them. On top of that, the best ones are almost always memorable. 

However, most of us aren’t likely to go as far as printing them out and hanging them in public, like Physical Memes. The Instagram account is dedicated to producing bizarre, character-based memes that are unmistakably online, but made to be distributed as flyers. For some reason, putting the content in physical format makes it infinitely more amusing and unsettling. It must be a fun experience to run into one of these in the wild.
