Why would he call her instead of calling him again later?

One of the worst bugs in modern society is the expectation that we be in constant communication with one another. I don’t know about y’all, but I don’t want to date someone who wants me to text them for 12 hours a day, constantly updating them with every little thing I’m up to. I definitely don’t want my boss to call me on weekends to tell me something that could easily be addressed first thing Monday morning. Having faith that your relationship will survive even if you don’t text your partner every hour of every day will help you feel more relaxed and secure. Keeping professional communication limited to a specific time of day helps everyone feel less stressed at work. We should be okay with the fact that sometimes you call someone, and they don’t pick up! It’s not a crime to need some time away from your phone.
