In their recent r/antiwork post (which you can’t actually read right now because of the ongoing Reddit blackout), OP explains that, after many months of hustling at their company to earn a well-deserved promotion, things started to take a nasty turn only three months into their new role. OP’s boss had the nerve to demote their role, which came with a 20% pay cut. The cherry on top? OP’s mountain of duties and responsibilities from their previous title didn’t change. Little did the boss know, OP had been doing all their work on their personal computer, due to the fact that they never provided a work laptop. When OP decided to quit right before a bunch of deliverables were due, they took their laptop (and a ton of valuable work) with them.
