Would you work a wedding for free?

If you’re offering a service to someone, odds are you want to get compensated for it. Even if it’s for a friend, there is only so much you’re willing to do for free. You don’t want to undervalue yourself too much, or else you’ll never get over it. It’s nice to do things for friends, since you hope they will return the favor. But what would you do for someone that you had a falling out with? You might really draw the line in the sand then. You don’t want to go out of your way just to keep the peace with someone you don’t really care about keeping the peace with. The person in this story went through a pretty dramatic falling out with their friend ahead of their wedding. Initially, they were going to help out with some of the wedding festivities. Everyone knows how expensive and demanding weddings can be, and you probably want to cut costs where you can. This is where DIY comes into play. Maybe you make your own centerpieces at home using stuff from the Dollar Store. Maybe you re-work a vintage dress instead of finding a whole new one. But this is a very different thing from relying on your friends to do the work for you. Especially if you’re not that close.
