When it comes to the category of animals that can talk for some cursed reason, it’s usually parrots that get all the PR. They are the ones that come in pretty colors, after all. However, Polly isn’t the only one who can tell you when they want a cracker. As it turns out, there are …

Cute and Funny Bunny Things For Fans of Rabbits
You don’t meet too many people with rabbits here in New York City. Which is kind of a shame, because little kids love those critters. I remember a friend of mine who had a rabbit named Sonoma. As you can imagine, her father worked in the wine industry. The rabbit was not kind. So while …

The Funniest Animal Memes of the Week (October 8, 2022)
Isn’t it crazy how we’re all animals? You and me are just as much of an animal as a fish or a bird. The only difference is that we convince ourselves we’re better than other animals because we’re the apex predator allegedly. As far as I’m concerned, the only thing that humans have better than …

Illuminating Tumblr Thread Reminds Us Why PETA Is The Worst
PETA has almost always been a controversial animal rights organization. On the surface, their mission is completely agreeable. Is anyone *against* the ethical treatment of animals? The truth is that when you dig deeper, as this Tumblr thread reveals, PETA’s practices are the complete opposite of moral or ethical. This is a very, very sobering …

Animal Memes For Frogs and Cranberries Fall
Frogs and Cranberries? It must be fall. Much like Mariah Carrey’s All I Want For Christmas is You on the Billboard Top 100 Chart, this meme comes crawling back to us seasonally, and we can’t get enough of it. But why? On a fundamental level, «Frogs and cranberries it must be fall» is just plain …

Birding Memes For Backyard Birders & Ornithologists Alike
There are memes for almost any subculture. You just need to know where to look. This became really clear to me after diving into the nerdy world of birding. As a kid, my Dad and I would visit parks and marshlands, Audubon book in hand, looking for birds both rare and common. While my favorites …

Raccoon Memes For Animal Lovers
Halloween season is almost here, so it’s time to celebrate all of the vermin in the animal kingdom. Sure, black cats, bats, and spiders typically get the publicity for this upcoming month, but many different animals deserve a chance to shine as Halloween Monster Animal of the YearTM. For instance, raccoons. If Universal Studios had …

Animal Memes For Wilderness Explorers
If I’m being honest, Russell from Up (2009) deserved far more than just a wilderness explorer badge for his adventures with Carl. That child was a friend to the elderly and the animal kingdom more than most of us could dream of being. He had the explorer’s spirit, and he did something about it. He …
