For many of us, the Disney and Pixar animation studios are inextricably linked. There was never a time in my memory when Pixar was its own entity completely separate from Disney, but the studios almost parted ways in the 2000s. Pixar CEO Steve Jobs did not like Disney CEO Michael Eisner and his insulting comments …

The Funniest Disney Memes of the Week (April 20, 2025)
Snow White can get a bad rap for being the most «boring» of the Disney princesses. People roast her for having a funny 1930s cartoon voice, being saved by a creepy man, and having a bob, but I don’t think she deserves the hate. If it weren’t for her, we would’ve never gotten the «Disney …

After the box office failure that was Snow White (2025), I wonder whether Disney will ever try to remake one of the most controversial princess movies of all time, Pocahontas. Maybe they will do it if they completely run out of intellectual property to remake, but even then, I doubt that it will ever happen. …

This weekend, the long awaited Snow White live action remake is coming out, and I’m intrigued. This movie has been the subject of so much online hate over the past three years, and I can’t wait to see if it’s actually as bad as everyone who hasn’t seen the movie says it’s going to be. …

There’s not enough space in Disneyland or Disney World to have a ride for every movie. That’s okay if your favorite movie is Snow White and the Seven Dwarves or Frozen, but it’s tough if you enjoy financially unsuccessful flicks like The Black Cauldron or movies with less cultural impact, like Oliver and Company. Even …

Disney Villain Memes for Grown-Ups Who Now Understand Them Better Than the Princesses
Remember when you were little and you were rooting for Hercules to defeat Hades? Or for Maleficent to just leave Aurora alone? Or even for Ursula to just go away? You were so starry-eyed about the heroes and princesses. And, whether you’re a Disney Adult now or not, you still hopefully have a little whimsy …

It’s difficult to understate how prominent and prolific Disney was in the 90s. They literally came out with The Lion King, Beauty and the Beast, Aladdin, Pocahontas, The Hunchback of Notre Dame, Hercules, Tarzan, and The Rescuers Down Under, all in one measly decade. Who does that? Not DreamWorks, that’s for sure. I know I’m …

The Disney princesses have gotten a lot of slack over the years for not having enough agency and relying on men. While that’s narratively true for some princesses (Snow White, Aurora, and Pocahontas come to mind), I would argue that Disney princes rely much more on the princesses in the real world. Think about it…how …

I think it’s about time Disney started adapting fairy tales again. One of the best Disney movies of the 21st century is Frozen, and it went back to Disney’s fairy tale roots by adapting Hans Christian Andersen’s story of The Snow Queen. I find it kind of wild that they’ve never really touched the iconic …

One of the biggest Disney fan phenomena I’ve never understood is the Mickey ears you buy at Disney theme parks. I get wanting to wear something in the parks that isn’t a whole outfit but can evoke the idea of a character you like. It’s a good way to communicate to others, «even though I …
