For music lovers and/or full time degenerates everywhere, festivals are often the highlight of the yearly calendar. After a couple of years where the opportunity to get wasted and listen to tunes in a field with thousands of other people was cruelly taken away from us, they have become even more important to those who enjoy them. 

There’s nothing like the pleasure of enjoying live music in the summertime with only a vague idea of where you actually are. While many of us have a fixed idea of what kind of music that is likely to be, it doesn’t always have to conform to this stereotype. Case in point comes from Truck Festival in Oxfordshire, UK, where one of the stages last weekend featured the Oxford Symphony Orchestra. The booking may have seemed unconventional, but it soon became apparent that it didn’t matter to the festivalgoers. A video of the crowd’s reaction warmed the hearts of TikTok, and it seemed like the orchestra appreciated it, too. If there is a lesson to be learned here, it’s to never judge a bucket hat wearer by its cover.
