Company ‘owns’ employee’s LinkedIn for the duration of their job: ‘They have full access to my account including posts, comments, reactions, DMs, and all done by them, for their brand, using my name and my face’

Would you give your job access to your LinkedIn profile? When you’re looking for a job, your LinkedIn profile means a lot. It’s your place to advertise yourself, make connections, and find out about new jobs. What if you had to fork all of that over to your place of work? It’s never a good idea to surrender your passwords to your accounts, even if it’s to people you trust. The smallest slip-up online can have massive repercussions in the real world. Privacy is an important thing online, and if you’re not around people who share those values, then you might be in the wrong situation. Especially at work. We already give up so much of ourselves to our jobs; we don’t need to do even more.
