‘Corporate America wants y’all back in that office BAD’: Twitter Users Roast Model Showing What Remote Workers Might Look Like in 2100

It’s now several years since corporate workers were first forced to leave the office, yet the topic of remote work seems as hot as ever. Working from home has boomed in popularity over the course of this decade, and the main consequence seems to be that we have to have an argument about this on a regular basis.

At this point, we’re pretty aware of the pros and cons in this situation. WFH employees save time, money, and sanity by not having to commute and spend long hours at work. They’re usually gifted greater flexibility, too. On the other hand, this kind of role can leave workers feeling isolated and struggling for motivation. Still, the lifestyles of many have benefitted from a more relaxed approach to where they can graft.

Despite the clear benefits of remote jobs, there are certain people who would like nothing more than for us all to be in an office, all of the time. This has been demonstrated by a tweet that shared a hideous model of what the average remote worker could look like in the year 2100.

As great proponents of the home working trend, Twitter users were quick to mock this obvious scaremongering. Maybe the problem isn’t how we do the work, it’s the type of work itself.
