But what if the box actually has something in it? And you really, really want it? Such is the situation that Jessica Gerson-Neeves and her wife found herself in after their three cats became captivated by – and territorial over – the box that contained their brand new Vitamix machine. After a two plus week standoff, Jessica desperately reached out to the bougie blender company. Her request was unorthodox. In a long, multi-paragraph plea, Jessica asked for three empty boxes to distract the felines from the toy that she and her wife so eagerly wished to put to good use. And boy, did Vitamix come through.
