America is known for many things. Among them are intolerance, obesity, Disney, obese people at Disney, and cowboys. And if we’re being honest, only one of those things is good for memes. And we’re not talking about fat-shaming people who love the Magic Kingdom. For years we’ve idealized and even idolized the cattle herders of American ranches. While the characters may be a bit less «en vogue» than in the 1950s and 1960s, the archetype remains. Just look at the success of Westworld, Deadwood, and Brokeback Mountain. We’re not here to talk about serious cowboy romances, though. We’re here to talk about their influence on memes. And actually, we’re not here to talk about it. We’re here to show some examples of it.
